The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want

I shall be satisfied with the goods I have got,

He makes me lie down in the pastures green

I look forward to the future and the unseen.

He leads me beside still waters that quench my soul

He renews my spirit from within and in the whole,

He leads me in right paths for His name’s sake

His burden is light and my neck, it will not break.

Even though I walk near death while in the valley

He is a beacon that is there to hold and guide me,

There is evil that exists; with Him I have no fear

His presence in my life is both powerful and clear.

My enemies shall watch me dine on a full table

Then sing praises to His name, for I am now able,

He anoints my head with a cup of overflowing oil

He gives me rest from burdens, sorrows and toil.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow all my days

I shall dwell in His house in safety and surety always,

The shepherd sacrificed Himself to save a lost lamb

Give praise to the Lord who is the holy, great I AM!
