Call On The Name Of The Lord

I desire to do the work of the Lord in my life today

Pay attention to the words of the Psalmist and obey,

Seeking out truth, then judging the same with speed

Being full of compassion, in your joy meet the need.

Stand upright and be sober, only drunkards do revel

Easy is the way that leads to suffering and then to hell,

Do you drink in His word and put it there in your heart?

Are you born again and is your word straight as a dart?

Have you read the reports of the many prophets of old?

Who praised His holy name and did as they were told,

Are you near the end of your journey to appear in court?

What will He say to you and what then will be the report?

Have you ever thought back to when trouble was averted?

When the truth set you free and was no longer perverted,

Do you give others honor with great humility you pursue?

Just like modern marines, will be counted among the few?

Are you quick to forgive and realize we are made of clay?

Does your sleep come quickly at the end of the work day?

Count it all joy whenever your faith is tried and is tested

Call upon the name of the Almighty and never be bested.
