The Summer Sizzles

At the lake lot when the weather is hot

We can grab a cold brew,

The music is playing and I am here saying

Amy Elizabeth, I love you.

Fire up the griddle, a steak in the middle

We lose track of the days,

The sun sets, this is as good as life gets

We are in a happy haze.

No signal for a phone and we are alone

Isabella has a baby sitter,

Those with imagination know the situation

I am a most blessed mister.

We return toward home and in a poem

Like Friendly’s, have a happy ending,

Our dream and vision was one decision

Was a step in love so transcending.
