The Love Of God Reaches Out To Me

Writer's picture: Gary the Poet's PenGary the Poet's Pen

When I am at the end of my spiritual rope

Without a ray of sunshine, laughter or hope

The love of God reaches out to me.

When I feel stranded, wounded and all alone

Wondering if I will ever make it back home

The love of God calls out to me.

In the poetry and in the music that I have written

There are soft hugs that sustain me, unbidden

The love of God is now holding me.

I am crossing the mountain tops so very high

And like an eagle flying into the western sky

I am at peace and at ease with my God.

When I arrive at the place that is beyond space

I will sing these words as I look into His face

Thank you for being my all and all, oh my God!
