I Thought Of You

Before I spoke the worlds into existence, I thought of you.

As my Spirit hovered over the firmament, I thought of you.

As I rested on the 7th day, I thought of you.

As I breathed life into Adam, I thought of you.

Do you know what a treasure you are to Me?

Can you comprehend how from the beginning of time I planned every hair on your head?

Every fleck of gold in your eye?

Every gift and talent that you may have already discovered you possess?

As My Father asked Me to come to Earth and live as a man, I thought of you.

As I lay in a manger, I thought of you.

As I built My Kingdom here on earth, I thought of you.

As I loved My apostles in all their failures, I thought of you.

Do you know what a treasure you are to Me?

Can you comprehend that I would endure it all again?

As I endured every taunt, every scourging, every betrayal, and every sin:

I saw your face before Me.

As I was silent when they mocked Me, I thought of you.

As they drove the crown of thorns into My head, I thought of you.

As I carried My cross on the Via Dolorosa, I thought of you.

As they drove the spikes into My wrists and feet, I thought of you!

Will you think of Me today?

Will you think of My sheep?

Will you think to carry your cross?

Will you think to obey Me?

My thoughts of you are what drove Me to persevere.

My thoughts of you drove out all fear.

Do you know how much I love you dear one?

I thought of you.
