Interceding

Lord, let me lift my voice and as a prayer warrior intercede

Within the souls of the hurting and the lost, planting a seed,

Many are unaware that I pray for their salvation and their soul

I once was broken and because of You, I am now made whole.

I do not seek to know the decisions or the dark circumstance

I will sing a funeral dirge if it helps or a somber, slow dance,

I ask that I get none of the credit while You are given the glory

I am happy to have been a part of each of their mortal story.

I ask Your forgiveness for the times that I let each of them down

Many times in my life I fancied myself an entertainer and a clown,

I cry for the many times that I lost my peace and my patience

I praise You for the opportunity to live a quiet life of reticence.

Let me close by saying that I am aware that we have all fallen

So let me on my knees cry out as a toddler that is crawling,

Before our lives on this Earth are over and we are since spent

Draw us close to You and give us a sincere chance to repent.
